📍 Roermond
The Munsterkerk (Onze Lieve Vrouwe Munsterkerk) in Roermond is a remarkable Late Romanesque church and the only example of its kind restored in this architectural style in the Netherlands. Dating back to the 13th century, this former abbey church takes its name from the Latin "monasterium" (monastery), reflecting its origins as a monastic place of worship. The church features distinctive Rhenish Romanesque architecture with twin towers and houses the tombs of Gerard III of Guelders and his wife. Watch live-streamed Catholic Mass from this Dutch national monument, where centuries of faith and architectural heritage converge in the historic city of Roermond.
